The New Zealand Groundspread Fertilisers Association (NZGFA) is a long-standing, membership organisation. Formed in 1956 to protect and promote the interests of both individuals and companies involved in the groundspread fertiliser spreading industry, it serves to ensure representation to local and central government, other relevant industry organisations as well as the private sector. The NZGFA encourages all members to become accredited with the industry standard, Spreadmark.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support under the direction of the president to ensure the smooth running of NZGFA activities. This role is part time with an average of 20 hours per week, some flexibility will be required depending on activity.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with the President, Council and Branches on a regular basis.
  • Development of an annual forecast budget.
  • Tracking forecast against expenditure and income.
  • Processing monthly invoices
  • Arranging the AGM and other general meetings
  • Assisting with the smooth running of NZGFA Council
  • Processing all new members’ applications and ensuring the membership database is kept up to date.
  • Publishing a monthly Newsletter.

About you

The successful applicant will be a self-employed contractor with the availability to work on average 20 hours per week from their home office. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels and  experience in the primary industry sectors, would be an advantage but is not essential. What Is important is your can-do attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn!

Other essentials include:

  • Experience in organisational administration
  • Advanced user of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other computer applications
  • Experience with Xero would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
